Barrington Stage Company Announces a New “Affordable Theater for All” Initiative with 15 @ $15

Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Producing Director Richard M. Parison, Jr., is celebrating 15 years of theatrical excellence in the Berkshires and responding to the current economy with a special “Entertainment Stimulus Package.” In honor of their 15 year anniversary, BSC is proud to unveil the 15 @ $15 ticketing promotion which will make available 15 tickets for every MainStage and Stage 2 production for the affordable price of $15. These tickets are available to patrons of all ages and can be purchased by phone or in person at the BSC Box Office at 30 Union Street, Pittsfield.

Youth 21 years and younger will also be able to attend all Mainstage and Stage 2 productions for $15 (except Saturday evening). And lastly, BSC will continue its low priced previews with the first two previews on the Mainstage available for $20 orchestra tickets and $15 mezzanine tickets and the first tow previews of Stage 2 shows available at $15.

Through its “Affordable Theater for All” ticketing promotions, Barrington Stage Company ensures that the art of live theater is accessible to all members of its community regardless of the economic climate or individual means. Other “Affordable Theater for All“ initiatives include: 35 and Under Pay What You Can Performances, Wednesday Community Night Specials and Senior Discounts for all matinees performances. Artistic Director Julianne Boyd said, “Affordable Theater for All” is a large part of our commitment to the community. For 15 years we have been dedicated to providing accessible top-notch theater for Berkshire County and these $15 specials allows us to continue that tradition while celebrating our 15th Anniversary season.”

There is no limit on the number of tickets patrons may purchase and the tickets will be sold on a first available basis. Patrons may choose from performances of Carousel, Sleuth, A Streetcar Named Desire, Freud’s Last Session, Underneath the Lintel, I’ll Be Damned, I Got Sick Then I Got Better, Bill Nelson’s All Male Revue and The Longing and Short of It All, Songs by Daniel Mate.

Tickets are limited and patrons are urged to act quickly if they wish to take advantage of these Affordable Theater initiatives. Tickets must be purchased in person or on the phone. This promotion is not available via online ticketing.
